The categories used in Mapo

The categories in Mapo allow you to categorize the points on the map. They are used by the person who adds a point to the card. Each point has a main category (which will define the icon shown on the map) and the secondary categories (non-obligatory).

Adding one or more category(ies) for a location

The categories are added when you add a new point to the map. The option is available in the "Content" subdivision. You can change the category(ies) at any time. For example, if your bar is transformed into a guest room or art gallery. Always mention a main category (icon displayed). One or more other categories (or sub-categories) can be added. The number of additions is not limited. To add more than one category, use the CTRL key on your keyboard.

Search by Category

If you want to search by category, click on the icon representing a small funnel at the top left of the screen. Perform a category search, allows you to filter the results on the map. Remark: You can also search by word. In this case, select the small magnifying glass and enter the word (or part of the word) you are looking for. Attention however to the language settings when you use this option, all points on the map are not translated into all languages. This option is left to the choice of the person who mentioned the point on the map.

Note that this list can evolve over time.

The list is made up of 23 parent categories. Each parent category is subdivided into sub-categories. For search, you can select one or more parent categories and/or one or more subcategories.
